| QLD WIN KEEPS CUP CAMPAIGN ON TRACK |
Queensland has bounced back to stay in the hunt for the 2009-10 Imparja Cup with an exciting win this morning over the ACT in the national Indigenous titles in Alice Springs. Queensland restricted the ACT to 8-123 before scampering to 8-124 in the 19th over to record their win. They play the Northern Territory tonight in the late match. It was a fine team performance this morning, with Australian Indigenous allrounder Cameron Trask top-scoring with 45 coupled with handy cameos from Chris Swain (19) and Brad Stout (11). A disciplined bowling effort followed suit, with Rockhampton allounder Hayden Busk taking 2-24 and another first time Imparja Cup attendee in Townsville’s Michael Prien taking 1-17. Trent Clemments (1-10), Trask (1-10) and Mark Thompson (1-15) were also successful with the ball. |
