Premier Strategy Unveiled

The 2022-27 Strategy unveiled recently reflects a focus on Premier Cricket’s role as a pathway for aspiring and current elite cricketers through successful innovations such as the introduction of the men's and women's KFC T20 Max this season.

It also reinforces the importance of strong Premier Clubs and high quality infrastructure and facilities to achieve this goal, while identifying the need for strong ties between Premier Cricket and Community Cricket.

The Strategy has been delivered following extensive contributions and consultation with the QC Board, Executive Leadership Team and Premier Club Presidents, as well as QC Community Cricket and High Performance staff.

Queensland Cricket and Premier Clubs will continue to work in partnership on the implementation of this Strategy and players and volunteers will have their chance to contribute to the direction of Queensland Premier Cricket through the annual survey distributed later this month.

The focus on a playing front now goes to the two-day Premiership in men's First Grade and the one-day Premiership for women in the Katherine Raymont Shield.
