Queensland Cricket Institute of Sport and Business

Queensland Cricket and TAFE Queensland have teamed up to offer exceptional opportunities for students aspiring to pursue careers in sport.

Located at Allan Border Field, Queensland Cricket and Brisbane Heat headquarters, students will participate in a dual-diploma education program tailored to the Queensland Cricket organisation and the wider professional sports industry. Students will also receive regular cricket coaching sessions at our elite facilities on the precinct.

Throughout the program, students will interact closely with staff, players, and coaches, gaining valuable insights and accumulating 100 hours of practical, hands-on learning across various club activities over the span of 12 months. Successful completion of the dual-diploma can also earn students up to one year of university credit towards selected undergraduate degrees.

Queensland Cricket's indigenous artwork was collaboratively designed by Queensland Fire player and proud Kunja woman Mikayla Hinkley and Brisbane Indigenous artist, Delores McDonald (“Aunty Delly”).

The centre circle represents the Gabba, alongside other water holes which used to be near the ground. 87 black strokes on red earth represent the wickets taken by Aboriginal great, Eddie Gilbert who played 23 games for Queensland.
