Khawaja Back For Bulls

Queensland captain Usman Khawaja has won the toss on the opening morning of the Marsh Sheffield Shield and sent South Australia in at the Gabba.

Despite showery conditions, the game is set to get underway shortly.

Australia Test batsman Khawaja, who has missed the past two games, will lead the side against the Redbacks as Queensland get set for their first game at the Gabba this summer from today.

He is the only addition to the squad which lost a thrilling final day run chase against Tasmania last week.

The Bulls currently sit third on the Shield ladder, one point ahead of South Australia.

The match will be streamed live on Kayo and cricket.com.au

The centre circle represents the Gabba, alongside other water holes which used to be near the ground. 87 black strokes on red earth represent the wickets taken by Aboriginal great, Eddie Gilbert who played 23 games for Queensland.
