Bulls To Host Blues

Pace spearhead Michael Neser has been named in the Queensland Bulls squad to take on NSW at the Gabba from Saturday in their important Sheffield Shield match.

Neser played the first two Shield games of the season, taking 10 wickets, but was injured in the Australia ‘A’ game against India ‘A’ in November.

He successfully completed his recovery from a hamstring tendon injury for the Brisbane Heat during the KFC Big Bash League and comes into a Bulls line-up that won its last Shield game before the BBL break.

Left-hander Lachlan Hearne, a former NSW player, comes into the match after strong efforts for the Cricket Australia XI in their tour game against the English Lions and for the Queensland 2nd XI in their win over NSW last week.

This is the first Shield round following the BBL, with NSW sitting in third place on a congested ladder on 24.2 points, two spots ahead of Queensland (19.31). South Australia (29.93) leads the way from Victoria (28.06).

Admission is free with public entry through Gate 5 on Vulture Street.

The match will be streamed live through Kayo and cricket.com.au
