The Queensland Fire are into the Final of the Women's National Cricket League, but the remaining two weeks of the competition will determine which opponent and where it will be played.
Final Looms For Fire
Queensland lost its last regular season game on Sunday, falling to Victoria in Melbourne.
However, it sits on top of the WNCL ladder on 36 points, 10 ahead of South Australia and 11 ahead of NSW and Victoria.
With each contender having two matches to play, South Australia would be in the box seat to contest the Final alongside Queensland but would need two bonus point wins and a lift in Net Run Rate to unset the Fire from top spot and hosting rights for the 2 March Final.
Rising Queensland batting star Charli Knott went to the top of the run--scoring list with 87no and 62 against Victoria, taking her to 542 runs at 54.20.
The Fire won their maiden WNCL title in 2020-21 and were runners-up last season to Tasmania.
