The Queensland Bulls will contest the 2024-25 Sheffield Shield Final next week against South Australia at Karen Rolton Oval in Adelaide.
Bulls Into Shield Final!
The Bulls finished second on the ladder after accruing sufficient batting and bowling bonus points in their drawn match against SA that finished today.
Centuries to Jimmy Peirson and Jack Wildermuth yesterday meant that Queensland was able to take the maximum bonus points from their batting innings.
NSW, Western Australia and NSW were all in the hunt for second spot but the Bulls efforts were enough to qualify for the Final.
Queensland will return home tomorrow to begin their preparations for the Final that gets underway from next Wednesday.
The Bulls last played in a Shield Final when they won the title in 2020-21 by defeating NSW at Allan Border Field.
They could deliver a remarkable last to first scenario if they can overcome table-toppers South Australia at home, with the decider falling 30 years on from the Bulls famous maiden Shield Final win over SA at the Gabba in March 1995.
