Among the stars was WBBL Brisbane and Queensland Heat batter Mikayla Hinkley who hit three half centuries and took six wickets,

Opening bats Tess Cooper and Tara Wheeler have both tasted competition at the Women’s National Cricket League level with the Queensland Fire while young stars Mikayla Wrigley and Sianna Ginger are currently in action for the Queensland Under-19 team at the national championships in Perth.

UQ left-hander Emma Jackson hit 79 from 58 balls in the semi-final win over Sunshine Coast while Shanni Bloxsom was similarly impressive with the ball to claim 4-12.

English player Georgie Boyce, who has featured in The Hundred in England, was one of three Scorchers players to make the Team of the Tournament. 

The coach of the team was UQ mentor Mark Daldy who has been a pivotal figure in the Students' run of recent success.

The centre circle represents the Gabba, alongside other water holes which used to be near the ground. 87 black strokes on red earth represent the wickets taken by Aboriginal great, Eddie Gilbert who played 23 games for Queensland.
