KFC T20 Max is Back

KFC T20 Max is back in 2023 and overseas and interstate player nominations have opened from today for male and female players looking to secure a competitive edge leading into the Australian summer.

The inaugural KFC T20 Max last season was an ideal proving ground, with more than two dozen contracted KFC Big Bash League and overseas players turning out in the men’s competition.

The Brisbane Heat recruited the likes of breakout stars Spencer Johnson, Josh Brown and Nathan McSweeney following strong performances, while interstate recruits Ross Pawson (Sydney Thunder) and Iain Carlisle (Hobart Hurricanes) were given their first opportunity in the BBL signing as Local Replacement Players.

KFC T20 Max sees interstate and overseas players link with Queensland Premier Cricket clubs, which are home to a host of Big Bash League stars, for the three-week pre-season competition which provides players quality T20 cricket and a chance for W/BBL hopefuls to impress selectors.

In an exciting development for 2023, the women’s competition will also be played in the late August/early September time slot, complementing player preparation for the Weber Women’s Big Bash League.
