Congratulations to Peter Rose from Mansfield Magpies Junior Cricket Club!

Peter Rose's enduring dedication has been pivotal in shaping the Mansfield Magpies Junior Cricket Club's success over the years. As the current Club President, Peter's leadership has been instrumental in fostering a thriving cricket culture within the community. His exceptional organizational skills and passion for nurturing young talent have played a significant role in the development of the Mansfield Cricket Blast Program. Under his guidance, the program has experienced remarkable growth, with nearly 50 registrations this season alone.

Peter's hands-on approach to managing the Blast Program sets him apart. With a keen eye for detail and effective communication skills, he ensures that both players and parents are fully engaged in the cricketing experience. Peter's focus on instilling solid bowling techniques in young cricketers not only enhances their skills but also prepares them for the transition to Junior cricket, setting them up for success in the future.

Beyond his role at the club, Peter also serves as the President of the Eastern Districts Junior Cricket Association. His leadership extends to organizing prestigious events like the Ron Eager Cup U11 Competition, a highlight of the holiday season. This tournament, featuring eight local teams, showcased five days of exhilarating cricket action, further cementing Peter's reputation as a driving force behind cricket development in the Bears region.

Peter Rose's unwavering commitment and passion for the sport have left an indelible mark on the Mansfield community. His tireless efforts to advance cricket at the grassroots level serve as an inspiration to all. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Peter for his invaluable contributions to the growth and success of cricket in the region.

Queensland Cricket's indigenous artwork was collaboratively designed by Queensland Fire player and proud Kunja woman Mikayla Hinkley and Brisbane Indigenous artist, Delores McDonald (“Aunty Delly”).

The centre circle represents the Gabba, alongside other water holes which used to be near the ground. 87 black strokes on red earth represent the wickets taken by Aboriginal great, Eddie Gilbert who played 23 games for Queensland.
