LAUNCHED | Elite Cricket Women’s Coach Program

The Elite Cricket Women’s Coach Program aims to identify and develop a select group of aspiring female coaches to coach at Elite Cricket and Premier Cricket 1st Grade level.

Program Objectives

• Increase the number of female coaches in Elite and Premier Cricket
• Identify and fast-track the development of talented female coaches
• Improve the Premier Cricket female player experience, retention, and development through coaching.
• Improve the stability and sustainability of Premier Cricket female programs.

Program Details

• Small group of coaches selected
• Two season program - 2025/26 & 2026/27
• Led by QC Elite Cricket staff
• Bespoke opportunities for each coach, including:
  • Practical coaching opportunities with QC Elite Teams & Youth Programs
  • Mentorship from QC Elite Cricket coaches and staff
  • Training and development opportunities
• Funding to support coaching development, including:
  • Coaching expenses
  • Training and development
  • Travel and accommodation

Selection Criteria

• The coach identifies as a woman
• The coach is actively coaching or will be actively coaching from season 2025/26
• The coach is identified as having potential to be an Elite Cricket coach
• The coach aspires to or is currently coaching in an Elite Cricket environment (Premier Cricket, QC Youth Programs, select Country Programs)
• The coach can work well in a team and contribute to the learning of a group of coaches
• The coach has or would like to obtain Representative Coach Accreditation or higher
