Player Pathway

The purpose of Queensland Cricket's player pathway is to identify Queensland's next generation of elite level cricketers. The Junior Representative and the Elite Player Development Program's create opportunities for identified players to be challenged across a variety of programs and competitions.

Community 

Players in junior and senior competitions representing local community clubs and Cricket Blast programs.   

Representative  

Players are selected to represent their zones in Queensland Junior Cricket (QJC) or Queensland Country Cricket (QCCA) and compete against players representing other Zones in Queensland.  
 

Talent Identification 

Key talent identification competitions where selected players compete in regional or composite teams against other identified players within Queensland.  

Talent Development 

Senior and youth programs delivered by Queensland Cricket to support and develop identified players to succeed in performance competitions and reach elite level cricket opportunities.  

Performance 

Challenging players in key performance competitions who are preparing to compete at the elite level in various Queensland Cricket or Cricket Australia competitions.  

Elite 

Identified players representing Queensland's elite teams in national competitions and competing for Australian representation.
