  • TAFE Queensland will provide training for the Diploma of Sport and Diploma of Leadership and Management. Completing these diplomas offers a broad set of skills applicable in both the cricket industry and wider business sectors.

     

  • Graduates can access diploma-to-degree pathways, receiving up to one year of credit for degrees at leading Australian universities. This includes programs in sport development, sport management, and business, preparing students for further academic and professional opportunities.

    • 100 hours of work placement within Queensland Cricket
    • Exposure to cricket operations, fan engagement, membership operations, community engagement, marketing, and media
    • Presentations from Queensland Cricket staff, coaches, and players
    • Networking with partner organisations

    • No ATAR requirement
    • Year 12 graduate (or equivalent)
    • Laptop and internet access required
    • Existing digital skills (Microsoft Office suite)
    • Prior volunteer or work experience preferred

     

  • Yes. Credit transfers for equivalent units are available with relevant transcripts.

     

  • Face-to-face classes for 2 days a week at Queensland Cricket’s facility, with virtual classes or self-directed study for approximately 6 hours per week, plus additional study time as required.

     

  • The next intake is scheduled to commence in late January 2025.
